Extending Marynes Avila's ongoing research on the complexities of multiplicity, this work is part of the outcome of a month Aktuelle Architektur Der Kultur Artist Residence in Murcia, Spain. 

Consisting of 2002 bamboo skewers especially designed to be used on tapas, ‘Unitatis’ conveys the concept of unity. The work creates a unique visual narrative in the shape of a double helix portraying the tapas as central to the Spanish distinctive way of life, a cultural heritage symbol globally known as ‘Marca España’.
