Wearing the Forest...

'INTERCONNECTEDNESS'

CREATIVE DANCE PIECE

STILLS FROM THE DRIFT PUBLIC ART COMMISSION PERFORMANCE

April 2023

Point Nepean Shire Park

Supported by the Mornington Shire Council

Interconnectedness is a tribute to the Moonah/Melaleuca Lanceolata plant community

which is synonymous with the Nepean Peninsula. Acting as an abstract representation of the original Moonah’s forest

before European settlement, the work symbolises the union between the Moonah plant community’s individuals,                                                                                                                  the interconnection between their roots and ancient twisted branches.
