PHOTO MICROGRAPHIC VIDEOS

Micrographic digital video is central to the artist’s process and an essential component of Avila's oeuvre, being the catalyst for the artist's large-scale installations.

Exploring organic materials under the microscope, these works unveil the intrinsic beauty of the natural world taking the viewer through a journey of multiplicity not perceived by the naked eye.

Aiming to promote public dialogue, the videos’ diverse tones, textures, abstraction and details combine to make the invisible, visible and reveal a complex network of often-overlooked multiples abounding in the natural world.
