Metamorphous

Approx. 3,000 factory off cuts; dimensions variable

This collaborative site specific public art project was created by the artist with the collaboration of newly arrived migrants  and refugees as part of ACCA's Multicultural Arts Program.

The organic form investigates the concepts of transformation and transcendence. Redefining the object, the artist makes reference to our own human capacity to re-create ourselves to become someone more complete, transcending our own limitations.

This work was also exhibited at McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park, La Trobe University LUMA, The incinerator Arts Complex, The Toyota Community Spirit Gallery and is always evolving and responding to a new site.
